THE CUNARD LINE. THIS IS A PAIR OF TEAKWOOD CANDLESTICKS MADE FROM THE R.M.S. MAURETANIA WHEN IT WAS SCRAPPED BY THE HUGHES BOLCKOW SHIPBREAKING COMPANY, BLYTH, NORTHUMBERLAND. THEY ARE 5.75 INCHES TALL AND 5 INCHES ACROSS AT THE BASE. There is some color variation, and minor chip at the top, see photos. Some of the souvenirs were produced at Blyth, Northumberland and some bear a screen-printed aluminum plaque that names Hughes Bolckow Shipbreakers Ltd.. In addition, some of these souvenirs were possibly made at the Thomas W. Ward Yards as well.
